TURKEY BOWL FOOTBALL RULES

  • Games are 3 Offensive Players vs 3 Defensive Players and played in a 20 yard (length) x 14 yard (width) indoor padded/protected lined football field.

  • Games are 30-minute running clocks with two 15 minute halves and a 5-minute halftime where the clock is stopped.

  • Teams must - at a minimum - substitute players at half. It is required that every player play at least an entire half per game. Recommendation: To preserve athlete stamina, it is recommended to make substitutions throughout the entirety of the game.

  • Gameplay is 3 Offensive Players vs 3 Defensive Players

    • Offense — 3 PLAYERS: QB, Center, WR/RB. The Center is permitted to go out for passes. The QB is ALLOWED to keep and run 1 down per series — EXCEPTION: If the Defense blitzes or rushes after the :3s delay, the QB is then permitted to run downfield — THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS THE QB’s 1 QB KEEP.

    • Defense — 3 PLAYERS: LB, DB, DB. Defense must delay :3s prior to rushing the QB. Defense can bypass the :3s delay rule by Blitzing ONE time per series. If a ball has been hand/pass/toss behind the line of scrimmage, defenders can pursue the ball immediately and it would NOT count as a blitz.

    • Offensive Scoring — The offense is given THREE downs to score a TD. If a TD is scored, the offense is awarded SIX points and has the choice to go for a 1 Point or 2 Point Conversion. The 1 Point Conversion is attempted from the 5 yard line and the 2 Point Conversion is attempted from the 10 yard line.

    • Defensive Scoring — If the defense intercepts the ball or forces a fumble: the play is immediately blown dead, the defense is awarded TWO points, and a change of possession.

    • Offense — PLAYCLOCK is set for :25s. If snap is not off in time, it is a loss of down.

    • Change of Possession — PLAYCLOCK is set for :25s. If snap is not off in time, it is a loss of down.

    • Timeouts — Teams have THREE (3) :25s Timeouts per game. The PLAYCLOCK is stopped for Timeouts.

TURKEY BOWL DRAFT

  • The Turkey Bowl will determine the number of teams, bracket format, players per team, team captains, and “uniforms” at the Draft commencement.

  • The Draft will be conducted on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 9:00pm CST via ZOOM.
