TURKEY BOWL RULE BOOK
The FLAG FOOTBALL Event is FREE and Athletes MUST RSVP via PTMinder (Nolan’s Scheduling App — CLICK HERE) prior to 8:30pm on 11/25/20.
The tournament consists of FOUR TEAMS.
Team Captains are:
Alex Knoebel’s Team — Black Shirts
Oscar Morgan’s Team — Red Shirts
Nate Tokar’s Team — Grey Shirts
Zach Zei’s Team — White Shirts
There will be a LIVE DRAFT held on Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 @ 9:00pm.
Players must wear the color shirt of the team they are drafted on.
Each team will play TWO games to determine 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place.
Games are 30 minute running clocks with two 15 minute halves and a 2 minute halftime where the clock is stopped.
Teams must substitute players at every half. It is required that every player play at least an entire half per game.
Gameplay is 4 Offensive Players vs 3 Defensive Players
Offense — 4 PLAYERS: QB, Center, WR/RB, WR/RB. Only 3 players are allowed to go out for a pass at a time. The QB is NOT ALLOWED to run past the line of scrimmage — EXCEPTION #1: Trick Plays! The QB can hand/pass/toss the football to a WR/RB BEHIND the line of scrimmage then at that point the QB can go out for a reception downfield. EXCEPTION #2: Defense blitzes, the QB then is permitted to run downfield.
Defense — 3 PLAYERS: LB, DB, DB. Defense can only Blitz ONE time per series. If a ball has been hand/pass/toss behind the line of scrimmage, defenders can pursue the ball immediately and it would NOT count as a blitz.
Offense — The offense is given FOUR downs to score a TD. If a TD is scored, the offense is awarded SIX points and has the choice to go for a 1 Point or 2 Point Conversion. The 1 Point Conversion is attempted from the 5 yard line and the 2 Point Conversion is attempted from the 10 yard line.
Defense — If the defense intercepts the ball, the play is immediately blown dead, the defense is awarded TWO points, and a change of possession.
Offense — PLAYCLOCK is set for :20s.
