ABOUT THE AWARDS
The NOLS ALUMNI TROPHY & ALEX KUBE MEMORIAL TROPHY are awarded to the year’s BEST College & High School Long Snappers trained under Nolan’s Long Snapping.
The NOLS Alumni Trophy was the FIRST College Long Snapper of the Year Award and is currently in its 5th year running. It was also the ONLY Award that considered Long Snappers from ALL LEVELS of College Football. Since then, with the growing list of long snappers and viral public draw to the award, the College Long Snapper of the Year Award has been expanded to TWO DIVISIONS. One Winner Awarded for Division 1 FBS/FCS and One Winner Awarded for Small Colleges.
The Alex Kube Memorial Trophy was once awarded to the winners of a former season-long long snapping competition. This award has since been re-imagined and repurposed for the use of declaring the TOP SENIOR High School Nolan’s Long Snapper of the Year.
To be eligible for either of the awards, snappers need to meet the below TWO qualifications:
#1 — Worked with Nolan Owen of Nolan’s Long Snapping at any point during their career
AND
#2 — Be the current starting Long Snapper for their College or High School Football Program
SELECTION CRITERIA
The Nolan’s Long Snapping College & High School Long Snapper of the Year Awards are the ONLY Awards for Collegiate & High School Long Snappers that take into consideration more than just on field performance. Athletes are graded out in several categories that consist of season performance, academics, jobs/internships held, community service, and social media fan votes.
View the below grading sheet the athletes are scored on:
THIS AWARD IS GIVEN TO THE BEST DIVISION 1, SMALL COLLEGE, AND HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES WHO EMBODY WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A NOLAN’S LONG SNAPPER.
