Former NIU Huskies Teammates, Nolan Owen of Nolan Owen Long Snapping and Alex Kube of Elite 7, Announce Association

Long Snapping Coach Nolan Owen, of Nolan Owen Long Snapping, LLC. [NOLS] is now in association with Strength and Conditioning Coach Alex Kube of Elite 7. NOLS will expand their services to a second location at Elite 7 in Lake Barrington, IL. The grand opening will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Nolan Owen has been privately coaching long snappers since 2008. In addition, he assisted in coaching at the nation’s largest recruiting exposure long snapping camps for 4 years.

Owen professionally trained weekly under long snapping guru Chris Rubio for 4 years, which propelled him to land the starting long snapping job for the NIU Huskies from 2007-2010.

Owen started as a true freshman and formerly held the record at Northern Illinois for the most consecutive football games played in school history with 52 games. Owen played all 4 years under a full-ride scholarship and executed a total of 475 career snaps.

Owen focuses the NOLS mission on building Division 1 Collegiate long snappers from the ground up by emphasizing on technique, form, consistency, speed, snap to block, and high pressure situations. NOLS achieves this through weekly group and private lessons, recruiting exposure preparation camps, and premium recruiting profiles.

Alex Kube played at Northern Illinois University from 2007-2010 as a linebacker and free safety, where he had a career total of 311 tackles, earned Freshman All-American honors by the Sporting News and earned First Team All-MAC honors.

Kube was invited to the Minnesota Viking’s rookie camp, had a tryout with the Chicago Bears, and later played with the Arena Football League’s Chicago Rush.

Kube’s focus for the Elite 7 mission is to provide athletes with elite personal training for all sports. Elite 7 firmly believe that year round training will help better prepare athletes for the rigorous grind of an entire sports season. In addition, Elite 7 pushes its athletes to train with the firm purpose in mind of reaching the highest level for their sports.

“I am excited to connect with Kube and provide the best opportunity for both of the companies.” says Owen. “I have long snappers that are in need of frequent lessons throughout the week and Elite 7 provides an elite facility and location, with an elite group of strength and agility coaches. They will be able to bring a whole new element to NOLS and expand the long snapping spectrum by offering performance training designed specifically for long snappers.”

“Partnering with Nolan, one of the best long snapping coaches in the country, will be a big deal for our kids. Long snapping is an art and you need the right coach to teach it properly” says Kube. “Nolan has mastered the art of snapping and teaching athletes how to snap. We are excited to give our Elite 7 athletes the opportunity to work with a prominent trainer such as Nolan.”

With the launch on Wednesday December 3, 2014 NOLS will start holding a two hour group and a one hour private lesson Wednesday nights at Elite 7 which is located in the Lake Barrington RecPlex at 28039 Northpointe Pkwy Unit 2-A. Lake Barrington, IL. 60010.
