NOLS 10/18/15 Snapper Improvements, Season Week #7 Results & Rankings + RSVP NOW for Long Snapping Lessons!

What a week for NOLS Long Snappers...we saw MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS with every athlete! I am proud to say that we are on track to continue to have the most versatile and qualified long snappers in the country. Good work on your part! Remember: THE MORE YOU PRACTICE, THE BETTER YOU WILL BECOME! 

Snapper Week #7 Improvements ONE BY ONE for Illinois:

Abrell, Erik -- IMPROVEMENTS: Explosion in snap, fluidity of form, leg involvement, snap speed, confidence in form. TO DO: Ball wall practice for further aggression in movement, explosion of legs, hands crossing legs timing, snap to snap confidence, routine confidence

Bareis, Will -- IMPROVEMENTS: Timing, explosion, legs going back not out, chest level in stance, routine confidence. TO DO: Ball wall practice to continue improvements on fluidity of form, leg drive direction, follow through with chest higher.

Boyle, Camden -- IMPROVEMENTS: Routine confidence, snap to snap consistency, snap speeds, follow through. TO DO: Wrists tight even in slow ball drills, hip position hair more forward in leg drive, refine pin point accuracy, consistency of correct stance balance.

Castro, Dylan -- IMPROVEMENTS: Stance balance, routine confidence, snap speeds, snap accuracy, snap to snap consistency TO DO: Create a nutrition plan, increase athleticism, strength & agility training.

Darby, Jack -- IMPROVEMENTS: Snap speeds, hip position in leg drive, stance balance, leg drive balance, re-positioned follow through, fixed hands on ball for ball to go straight back. TO DO: Snap to snap consistency, pin point accuracy, hip position in leg drive, refine re-positioned follow through,  

Davis Jr., John -- IMPROVEMENTS: Snap speeds, re-positioned follow through, stance balance, routine confidence. TO DO: Practice every day especially on the revised approach and routine. Refine re-positioned follow through, balance in leg drive, quickness of leg drive. 

Gaines III, Ron -- IMPROVEMENTS: Routine confidence, stance balance, stance level, quickness of operation time. TO DO: Practice every day especially on the stance balance with the revised routine. Create a nutrition plan and focus on increasing athleticism.

Heilbron Jr., Dan -- IMPROVEMENTS: Form fundamentals, stance fundamentals, leg extension, arm extension, follow through fundamentals. TO DO: Develop fluidity of new form, explosiveness with legs and hands, closely follow the drill sheets!

Hokkanen III, Jerry -- IMPROVEMENTS: Corrected leg drive balance, hip position in leg drive, increased snap speeds and accuracy, corrected explosiveness in snap. TO DO: Increase snap to snap consistency of explosiveness. Ball Wall drill is a must. Keep gaining weight.

Lowe, Nathan -- IMPROVEMENTS: Revised routine for optimal performance, proper stance and hips alignment, follow through fundamentals. TO DO: Keep practicing. Be aggressive in snapping motion. Snap as hard as possible. Ball Wall drill is a must. 

Reynolds, Chad -- IMPROVEMENTS: Revised hand positioning, re-positioned follow through, explosiveness of snap, closeness of wrists. TO DO: Refine revised hand and follow through positioning. Refine accuracy with the new rapid explosion. Follow the drill sheets!   

Tabel, Ethan -- IMPROVEMENTS: Revised timing errors with new routine, re-positioned follow through, stance balance, leg drive balance. TO DO: Continue refining new routine, re-positioned follow through, and stance balance.

Rankings will be updated EVERY MONDAY during the NOLS Football Season based on the previous week's performance. That said, get your practice in during the week and make every snap count!
